"WHAT WAS IT YOU WANTED?" had been released in September 1989 as the penultimate track on the sublime album "Oh Mercy", and had subsequently been performed twenty times from January to November 1990, and once more in February 1991 in Scotland. More than four years later, in April 1995, the song had a one off appearance, also in Scotland, which would be the last one for more than 26 years.
