RAINY DAY WOMEN # 12 & 35 17. BLOWIN' IN THE WIND @ Two days later we saw an equally good show, sitting down this time. We got to hear (our fifth) “SENOR” and our second “UNDER THE RED SKY”. The first peak of the show however was “THE LONESOME DEATH OF HATTIE CARROLL”, a song I was waiting for for a long time. It was no surprise, as we had heard the band practice it during the soundcheck in Bremen, as we strolled around behind the hall. The second even higher peak hit me unexpectedly. Bob performed a sublime “BLIND WILLIE MCTELL”, which was not even listed on the cue sheet. “Well, God is in His heaven and we all want what's His.” |
